The feeling of being helpless to ease the pain of a friend, co-worker, or family member experiencing cancer can be a heart breaking experience.  Organizations such as the Sherie Hildreth Foundation gives hope not only to ovarian cancer patients, but to the loved ones who want to help and support them.  It also gives companies such as Acumed, the opportunity to express their commitment to the greater community.  This year, a team of twenty Acumed employees, as well as family and friends, walked together in the annual Sherie Hildreth Foundation Cancer Walk to show their support.  In doing so, the Acumed team raised just under $5,000.  The money raised will go directly to help those affected by ovarian cancer.  It also gave the Acumed team a feeling pride, achievement, and most importantly, knowledge that nobody has to feel helpless.
